Rodin on Fire (Candles)

Reflecting on the permanence of Rosin and Pompon’s bronze and stone sculptures, I seek to remake these sculptures in wax - a more temporary and less precious material. The waxes can be kept whole as a reflection of the original or transformed by lighting their wick and burning/melting the material, modifying its state. In this process, I am asking.. what is an original? ...what is a copy? ....and at what stage is a work complete?
